Coming November 12-14, 2021 Camp Pondo is hosting a conference for young worship leaders, known as Spirit and Truth. This conference is designed for both individuals and worship teams who want to grow in their leadership qualities, music skills, and have their affections stirred for the God we worship.
The weekend includes practical, hands-on training to teach young worship leaders in the areas of instrumentation, vocals, songwriting, production, set building, leading on & off the stage and so much more. Our hope is that you leave not only with some practical tools and advice from experienced worship leaders, but that your are also encouraged in your ministry and find an even greater intimacy with Jesus.
This weekend event is brought to you by the Pondo Worship Movement, and will include special guest speakers, Keri Fox and Husband and wife duo Steve and Bek Deal.
The Pondo Worship Movement is a creative collective that comprises the Pondo house band that you have come to know during our Winter and Summer Camps in the last several years. The Movement Team exists to help creatives find purpose and joy in pointing others to Jesus. They aim to help people know God, share His goodness and love, and create out of a heart of gratitude
Keri Fox is a pastor and worship leader who, alongside her husband Nick, has been in ministry for over 15 years. Nick and Keri planted Commonwealth church in San Diego in 2017. Before that, Keri served as a worship pastor in Orange County. She has a passion to see people encounter God’s presence in worship and to help develop and release the next generation of worship leaders.
Steve and Bek Deal are a couple of Australian worship leaders who felt the call of God to move to California 2 years ago. They are leaders at Sandals Church where they can be found leading worship most weekends. Between them they have 47 years of experience leading worship, songwriting, producing albums, leading worship teams and contributing on dozens of worship albums. They have a passion for God, for leading his people in worship and for raising up the next generation of worship leaders.
This is going to be one amazing weekend and we cannot wait to unpack invaluable and practical lessons about the heart of worship, how to improve your craft, and facilitating others into the presence of Jesus both on and off the stage.
